Boxee Box

The Boxee Box was our first dip into the set top box world. We had used laptops running XBMC in the past and while they worked they had their disadvantages as they were at the end of the day a computer that’s first purpose in life was not to serve us media.

We paid just under $200 for the device which I had been following for quite some time waiting for it’s release and out of the box we were certainly impressed. It was very easy to use and delivered great quality. There are hundreds of apps available for it (both from Boxee and third party repository) and give you almost everything you are looking for. The two content provides I do miss from the lineup are Amazon VOD and Hulu. Hulu there has been some long running tease from the Boxee crew but for Amazon there has been little official buzz.
